2. Disclaimer – estimates only
The calculators and guides provide general information and estimates based on the numbers you enter and on typical values for depths, densities, bag sizes and prices. They are not professional landscaping, engineering, horticultural or financial advice.
- Actual quantities vary with settling, compaction, moisture, product density, how a supplier fills a bag or a truck, and how you spread the material.
- Example prices are illustrative only and are not offers or quotes from any supplier.
- Depth, weight and load figures (for example trailer capacities) are general guidance – always follow the manufacturer's ratings and local road rules.
- Confirm quantities and prices with your landscape supplier or retailer before purchasing, and check load limits before placing heavy beds on decks, balconies or roofs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss, cost or damage arising from reliance on the site's content, including over-ordering, under-ordering, delivery costs and plant failure. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
3. Free use and availability
The site is provided free of charge and "as is". We aim to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or remove any calculator or page at any time.
4. Intellectual property
The text, tables, calculators, illustrations and design of the site are owned by GardenMaths unless otherwise stated. You may use the calculators for personal and commercial garden projects, print or copy results for your own use, and quote short extracts with a link back to the source page. You may not republish substantial parts of the site, scrape it systematically, or present its content as your own.
The 3D viewer uses the open-source three.js library under the MIT licence. Fonts are used under the Open Font Licence via Google Fonts.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to send automated requests at a rate that degrades it for others, to attempt to interfere with its operation, or to embed it in another site in a way that hides its source or advertising.
6. Third-party links and advertising
The site links to external resources (standards bodies, government agencies, publishers) that we believe are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Advertising on the site is supplied by third-party networks as described in the privacy policy; advertisers are not endorsed by us.
7. Corrections
We welcome corrections. If you believe a figure on the site is wrong, please contact us with the page and your source. Pages show a "last reviewed" date so you can judge how current they are.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing in them limits any non-excludable rights you have under consumer protection law in Australia or New Zealand.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always at this address with the date shown above.
